While "the Big Mamie" doesn't require a specific Commander, it doesn't hurt to have one that plays to her strengths and has talents which improve the performance of those strengths.Įdited to add a photo I took while visiting the USS Massachusetts during one of the "Anchors Away Tour" events that World of Warships held a few years ago. She's a fun ship to play and sails with aplomb in co-op battles, too.Īt 27 knots, she has enough speed to get out of her own way and arrive where the action is before the battle is over, and her guns have decent reach for co-op work. I have an untrained 21pt captain, from my CL line, I could put on her or I could use Halsey, who has been sitting in reserves since acquiring him. There was only one restrictionthe battleships had to be able to pass through the Panama Canal. Seven battleship designs were proposed with maximum capabilities and performance. Does anyone have her, and if so how well does she do in coop? I know her main guns are kind of meh with lousy sigma and she's slower than the Brandenburg. During World War I, in the midst of the dreadnought arms race, designers were given complete carte blanche. I have the Brandenburg and she does pretty well for me when I take her out. That being said, I hear the Mass is a good BB since it has excellent secondaries. I could buy the Yoshino with coal if I was so inclined to, having over a million coal. I play cruisers about 90% of the time and already have Mainz, Napoli, Atlanta and Atlanta B. None of the 'B' ships really excite me this year so it's not worth gambling on the crates to get something I don't want.
